While many people are looking forward to the advent of hoverboards, flying cars, and self-tying shoes in 2015, I am personally much more interested in how the fax machine makes a comeback and how the Japanese end up dominating global commerce and business. Does Shinzo Abe end up providing the leadership Japan needs to grow its tech sector? Does the internet become so insecure that faxes come back in style? Truly, it is these questions posed by Back to the Future II that are more interesting. The sociopolitical implications of a resurgent Japan would be immense, and the sheer political change that would be needed to effect that would be awesom

Well, considering I now live in Providence-Town, it seemed like an apt addition to my comic-roster. Also, if you ever want some reference pictures of Providence, just ask. I have a camera.

Sadly, I've never been to Providence but I really want to D: (I've travelled almost through all Europe, but visited only Miami and Orlando in the USA) so, if you find some time to take and share with me some of your pictures I would be very grateful! I don't need photos of specific buildings, just something from which I can grasp the "essence" of the old city.
I'll see what I can do. I'll look around for some very atmospheric streets, and I'll be able to get some pictures of the University campus here (HPL probably based Miskatonic on Brown, so it might be useful).
There's a power station on the river built very early in the 20th century that might also be good:

I'll try to get some atmospheric stuff, but there's not as much ancient stuff as you might want. Mostly brickwork from the 1800s and such. Providence industrialized early, so most of the ancient stuff is up in the hills. I'll see what I can do.
